Intro to Florida Fishing - Sunday, May 18, 1-3 p.m.
The Florida Subsistence Series aims to inspire and empower a resistance to the modern food system, which has created a growing disconnect between people and their food. Throughout history, being directly involved with the foods we consume has been a vital and fulfilling part of the human experience - one that many have recently lost.
The second experience of this series focuses on identifying the incredible food resources found in the waters around us. Participants will learn practical techniques for fishing and harvesting sea life, with an emphasis on species that are often undervalued or overlooked by sport fishermen.
This experience will be held on Sunday, May 18, 1-3 p.m. at St. Pete Ferment + Queen & Colony Shop located at 326 DR MLK JR STREET N. St. Petersburg, Fl 33705
