The Florida Subsistence Series aims to inspire and empower a resistance to the modern food system, which has created a growing disconnect between people and their food. Throughout history, being directly involved with the foods we consume has been a vital and fulfilling part of the human experience - one that many have recently lost.

The third experience in this series explores the many hunting opportunities Florida has to offer. Hunting is about much more than harvesting an animal - it is a deeply educational experience that connects us to nature and the food that sustains us. This experience will focus primarily on public land hunting, covering safety requirements along with state rules and regulations. From there, we’ll delve into techniques for pursuing the diverse game animals Florida provides. From field to table, participants will learn what it takes to become a successful, food-focused hunter in Florida.

This experience will be held on Sunday, June 1, 1-3 p.m. at St. Pete Ferment + Queen & Colony Shop located at 326 DR MLK JR STREET N. St. Petersburg, Fl 33705
