“ Honey on pizza? “ , You say! Oh yeah!! We discovered this combination a couple of years ago and it is one of our favorites now! We know it might sound weird but the sweetness of the honey and the salty, tangy flavor of the cheese and garlic are a home run! You will be a believer once you try it!

Makes about 3 medium sized pizzas

What you will need:

  • 3 pizza pans

  • A big bowl for mixing

  • Mixing spoon/fork

  • Scissors for cutting pizza

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Warm Water

  • 1 Tbs. Active Yeast

  • 4 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour

  • 1/4 Cup of Queen & Colony Honey

  • 1/2 Cup Virgin Olive Oil

  • 1 Jar of Tomato Sauce

  • 2-4 Garlic Cloves chopped into small pieces

  • 3-4 Cups of Mozzarella Cheese

  • 1 tsp. Kosher Salt

Instructions:

Heat oven to 425 and grease pans with olive oil.

Pour warm water in mixing bowl. Add 1 tsp. honey and the yeast. Mix and let sit for 5-10 minutes till bubbly. Then add flour a cup at a time and mix after each cup. Add salt. Dough should be wet but not too wet but pliable. Knead for about 5 minutes and add more flour if needed till right consistency. Pour about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of olive oil in another bowl and put dough in it and make sure dough is covered in olive oil. Let dough sit for 1 hour till double in size.

Separate dough into 3 portions and spread onto prepared greased pans. Spread tomato sauce over dough. Sprinkle cheese on top and then add chopped up garlic.

Put in oven and let cook for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Take out of oven and drizzle honey over pizza. Enjoy!!
